The long time abandoned diving pool in Astoria Park will eventually be filled with concrete to make a foundation for the new Astoria Park performance space.   This is Terrific news.  Although making progress, Astoria is severely lacking in the music and performing arts venue department, so this addition is very attractive.

Concerts in the Park with Astoria Park views as the backdrop sound good to me, but can you think of any drawbacks this may have for the community living close to the park?
